3D cone beam CT scanners are used to visualize the underlying structures of your mouth, while 3D intraoral scanners are used to create digital images of your teeth and gums. You may receive one or both of these scans during your first visit or throughout your treatment journey to monitor progress.

Both of these technologies expedite your treatment process by eliminating the need for messy tray impressions and additional appointments and allow us to view results right away. We can even electronically send this information to your referring dentist or other specialists taking part in your care. For dental implant patients, these images can be sent to your referring dentist’s preferred laboratory for the custom fabrication of your crown.
